The 5th and final UrbaChina International Conference took place from 15 to 17 January 2015 and was hosted by the CNRS and the Cité de l'architecture in Paris. It presented UrbaChina results to key players of urbanisation in China and Europe. This conference concluded the Urbachina programme, started in 2011.

 

4th UrbaChina International Conference, 28-30 May 2014

Members of UrbaChina’s consortium gathered at the venue to present and discuss the results of their research. Members of UrbaChina’s scientific committee provided further advice and guidance on current and future research work. The University of Chongqing invited relevant speakers, and students and other interested participants joined the dialogue.

 

3rd UrbaChina International Conference, 3-5 June 2013

During the the UrbaChina 3rd International Conference, attendees made several field trips in Kunming visiting interesting urban projects, such as the Dianshi lake to know more about water pollution in Kunming, Guandu ancient town, a historical and cultural heritage site and the Campus city of Chenggong New Area construction. UrbaChina members had also the opportunity to listen to presentations prepared by Chinese scholars on the urbanisation in Kunming.

  

2nd UrbaChina International Conference, May 28-June 1 2012

UrbaChina members attending session on “metro development in Rome” organized by Roma Servizi Mobilità

 

After one year of activity, the Rome UrbaChina conference was the opportunity for the Consortium to discuss the first achievements, settle several issues and plan the coming actions to take. The partners took part to a site visit organized by ISIS and “Roma Servizi Mobilità”. The afternoon session was held on the Risorse per Roma headquarter, where Umberto Mosso, CEO of “Risorse per Roma”, presented the current strategy of the city of Rome to attract sustainable investment funds.

 

Kick-off meeting and 1st UrbaChina International Conference

The UrbaChina kick-off meeting in Beijing gathered every member of the consortium. Partners discussed the implementation of the research programme and outlined the actions that needed to be taken for the next four years.
