UrbaChina blog

Our blog looks at the latest news on four specific themes regarding urbanisation in China: the institutional foundations and policies for urbanisation, the territorial expansion of Chinese cities, the infrastructures and services for sustainable urbanisation, the building of urban communities. It also provides information on ongoing research within the UrbaChina project.

The blog was created with WordPress, on hypothese.org, a publication platform for academic blogs. The Hypotheses platform is run by the Centre for Open Electronic Publishing (Cléo, France), a unit that brings together the CNRS, the EHESS, the Aix-Marseille Université and the Université d’Avignon.

Editorial team

Jacqueline Nivard and Monique Abud both undertake news monitoring relating to urbanisation in China and any publications related to this subject. Sébastien Goulard, Ai Chi-Han and Miguel Elosua each have a weekly blog post on Monday, Tuesday and Friday respectively. Miguel Elosua has posted several articles commenting on his photos of Chinese towns. Sébastien Goulard also edits the UrbaChina newsletter, collating all articles posted on the blog each month.
